I am working in a Pvt Ltd. company, and our employer has not paid our salaries for the last four months. Despite repeated requests, the employer has not taken any action to release the pending salaries. I seek assistance in drafting a complaint letter to the labor enforcement officer. Please advise on the necessary steps to address this issue.

Hello,

You should have a salary limit less than 18k to raise a complaint with Labour officers under the Payment of Wages Act. If your pay is more than 18k, you should approach the labour court.

A normal complaint letter with the document proofs is enough to raise the dispute with labour officers. If the action is delayed, raise the RTI to let them know the status of your complaint. It will speed up the action.

All the best.
