Hi,

Recently, I received an offer from Tata Consultancy Services in India, but I was mistakenly given a fake salary certificate. If I were to join TCS with this false document, it could lead to the termination of my employment.

All other details are accurate except for the issue with the salary certificate.

Thanks and Regards

You will really have to explain to TCS how you managed to give a fake salary certificate. Why were you keeping a false salary certificate? Does it not indicate a different bent of mind? Such "mistakes" are to be totally avoided.

Indulging in such unethical practices will jeopardise your career , your employer as well as seniors will not be able to have faith on you. Please be careful.

Yes, based on the same certificate, you negotiated your salary. This implies that you were aware the certificate was fake, yet you intentionally submitted it to them to secure favorable terms. There is not much you can do except pray that they somehow give you a chance to stay back.

There is no way to escape. The moment your ex-employer provides them with the salary statement, there is nothing that you can do. Facing TCS and telling them the truth is the only way. Maybe they will give you a second chance with a revised pay scale, or they may simply terminate you as you have breached the agreement even before it began. Also, asking the ex-employer to help is like asking him to lie, something no employer will do. To risk his reputation in the market is something no employer will tolerate.
