I was working for hardly 6 months in my old company. Should I transfer PF to my new company account or withdraw the amount, as I guess 6 months' PF is not a significant amount? Also, the salary was less compared to the new company. Please suggest transfer or withdrawal?

First of all, you cannot withdraw the money if you are employed. Second, do not withdraw this amount. Transfer it to your new P/F account and allow savings to grow. PF savings are an ideal instrument for long-term savings and growth. Don't underestimate it and treat the PF as a savings account.

Dear Sharyu,

I think you should transfer your old PF to your new account. Now, the PF transfer process has become easy. Just go to the EPFO site, navigate to the For Employees section, and proceed to the Online Transfer Claim Portal (OTCP) to fill out the form.
