Hi All, For the past month, there have been three technical profile vacancies in our company, of which only one has been filled. Despite posting the job on leading job portals, engaging with 5-6 consultancies simultaneously, and conducting tests and interviews with approximately 70-75 candidates, we have been unable to fill the remaining vacancies.
Candidates have been shortlisted solely based on the job description, and interviewers have indicated that they are only asking about general and basic knowledge during the interviews. The pressure from management is mounting, but I am struggling to determine the next steps.
Your help and advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Neha, If the positions are not getting closed in your organization, it is a question mark for the HR. Since you have said that you have opened the vacancies to the recruitment firms and simultaneously posted on various job portals, I suggest the following which can guide you.
Redefine Job Description
1. First, redefine your job description. Maybe you are expecting more from the candidate with less experience. Redefine the offered CTC and the position to be offered.
Conduct Thorough Evaluations
2. You should initially conduct a telephonic interview, but before that, evaluate the candidate's profile thoroughly with all the criteria mentioned in the job description.
Involve Panel Members
3. If possible, conduct the telephonic interview of the candidate with the panel members.
Consider New Consultants
4. Also, consider empaneling new consultants if the existing ones are not able to meet your expectations. This may bring in competitiveness, and they will strive to serve you better to retain their empanelment with you and your organization.
