Hi Team, I have been working in one of the MNCs for the past 5 years, and I resigned just 10 days before the hike letter was generated. The hike letter is based on the performance of the past year, and I have to serve a 3-month notice period without any increment. When I asked HR, she said that the hike letters are generated only for the employees who have not resigned. She mentioned that I should have resigned after the hike letters were generated, but this does not seem fair. How can I address this issue?
Please help me.

Hi Kumar,
I would suggest that you go through the company policy regarding the notice period. During the notice period, companies do not provide any hike, and any leaves taken during the notice period increase the notice by that many days.
Thanks,

The right of increment is accrued on the date of appointment irrespective of whether you have given notice to quit. Earning an increment is a property that cannot be denied merely on the basis of an erroneous policy. Please read other threads pertaining to the right of increment.
