ESI Corporation provides free medical benefits for employees and their dependents in case of emergencies. Additionally, employees are entitled to have their salaries reimbursed for the period of days they are absent from work and hospitalized in a facility referred to them by ESIC-registered doctors in their areas.
Maternity Benefits
Female employees receive maternity benefits from hospitals, with 84 days of maternity leave reimbursed. Moreover, 70% of hospital bills are reimbursed in case of treatment in a private hospital during emergencies.
Future Developments
ESIC is also working on a process to facilitate employee treatment regardless of their place of residence or work location.
