One of the best ways to improve your communication skills is to take up reading the newspaper regularly. I would suggest The Hindu as the best newspaper to go through because, grammatically and content-wise, it is good. This is based on my personal experience. Initially, you may find it tough, but slowly, once you get acquainted with it, your interest will automatically be generated.

Try to read the outlines of all articles and go through at least 2 or 3 articles thoroughly. If you can't understand something while reading, read it again. Also, watch English news channels, debates, etc. Every day, take out 20 minutes to speak to yourself in front of the mirror about any article or daily activities in English. Additionally, write down tough words or sentences that you come across in articles or elsewhere. Try to form your own sentences using those words.

Apart from all these, either with your close friends or relatives, start speaking in English for at least half a day. Keep practicing and working hard. All the best.

Let me tell you the simplest way. Always remember there are only three tenses: Past, Present, and Future. Take any sentence above; the tense will be one of these. So, learn how to create a sentence in these tenses. Once you learn how to create a sentence, then increase your English vocabulary. Even though you learn to make a sentence, the words might create difficulties for you.

It's not a big deal. First of all, you need to learn grammar; it is the basic part of any language. Then, you need to build your vocabulary to communicate with people and form sentences with the words. After that, you need to practice using these words and sentences in your daily routine. Many times, we see that people with good grammatical skills and vocabulary can't speak properly because they aren't accustomed to English. Best of luck!
