Hi there,

There are two things you can do to improve your English. If you do this regularly, you can surely enhance your language skills.

1) Read an English newspaper every day for at least one hour. Ask your friends or seniors for any doubts regarding pronunciations and meanings.

2) Stand before a mirror for 10 minutes and speak in English on any topic.

These practices will definitely bring about a significant change in your communication skills.

Hello,

You can improve your English by following these steps:

1. Read English newspapers, such as the "Speaking Tree" column in the Times of India.
2. Watch English news channels, as it is one of the best methods to improve.
3. Daily, pick 4-5 words from the dictionary and understand their meanings. Make this a daily process.
4. Communicate in English with your colleagues and family.
5. It is important to make your grammar strong.

By incorporating these practices into your routine, you can enhance your English language skills effectively.

Learning a language is not a one-night task. One needs passion for it, and nothing is impossible if your willpower is strong. You can learn English using the same methods as you learned your mother language: speaking, grammar, and practice.

I have a new idea. Read the English newspaper - it is a must to do. Another way is when you are speaking with another person, you can use most of the Bengali words in English. In this way, you will become strong in English. I'm telling you because I have improved myself in this way.

Hi Curio,

I believe the best way to champion English is to start thinking in English. The primary reason you might be having difficulty with speaking is that your thought process is in your mother tongue, and then you try to translate it into English (which also causes a delay). Try this particular exercise, and you can see the developments within days...

Dear Curio,

You should try to understand the usage of tenses thoroughly and then practice them in your day-to-day life. This is enough to improve your English language fluency. If you want to fine-tune your language fluency, you can follow our peers' advice.

This is my view.

Hi,

1) Listen to English news or an English movie. Please don't watch it, just listen for 15 minutes.
2) Read aloud any storybook with a lot of intonation.
3) Speak in English, don't worry about making mistakes.

Do this for 3 months without fail, and you will be able to speak good English. Remember, there is a difference between fluency and good communication.

Thanks

All you have to do is to think in English. To simplify it better, our mind thinks non-stop so if we start thinking in English (usually we think in our mother tongue), we can improve our language.

Secondly, communicate in English as much as you can.
