Is there any compulsion that a welfare officer should be an MSW? Can't an M.P.M. be a welfare officer? I am working in a manufacturing company in Maharashtra. I have also completed D.L.L. & L.W. Kindly give me suggestions.

Qualification Requirements for a Welfare Officer
MPM is also an approved qualification for being a Welfare Officer. (I had confirmed it with the Director, ISH, Mumbai). Other postgraduate diplomas and Master's degrees in Labour Welfare and Labour Legislations are also covered under the qualifications required for a Welfare Officer. You may refer to the required qualifications and approved institutions/universities mentioned in The Maharashtra Welfare Officer (Duties, Qualifications, and Conditions of Service) Rules 1966 for applying for the oral exam for a Welfare Officer.
