I would like to take this opportunity to talk about a great milestone here at Cite-HR today. Today, I complete 5 years of my journey at this forum. Five years of a journey filled with knowledge, knowledge, and knowledge...

This journey is made even more memorable because of the larger effort that each one of you puts in here at discussions, posts, and helping me whenever needed. I take pride in THANKING each and every one of you for the support. They say that 5 years, which marks half a decade, is now a time to strategize. With the advent of this milestone in my life and that of this forum - Cite-HR, I intend to make changes to the way we have lived our lives so far. I pledge to give much more to Cite-HR.

First of all, a BIG CONGRATS. Like they say, "time flies." However, it's up to the person concerned to make the most of it—or not. It's also really appreciable to note your comments, "I pledge to give much more to CiteHR"—which is all about CiteHR. In addition to learning through sharing, as the saying goes: The thrill/satisfaction that comes in 'giving' is MUCH MORE than what comes in 'taking'.

It's heartwarming when members feel this connected to their community. I hope your attachment to your community continues. It's strange that your account is not marked as a senior account—I will be rectifying that right now. I request all our other senior members to please message me the usernames of any other such contributors to the community.

Support from Senior Members

Members should remember that our senior members and moderators are always available to help you learn and grow. Please always notify any misconduct in case anything bothers you. You can write directly to me at [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons] or to our community manager (Cite Contribution) at [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons].

Thank you for your recognition, though I don't think I deserve to be a senior member as of now. These are qualities of a good leader - to always motivate and recognize the small deeds of team members. Thanks once again. I will never let you down.

We generally perceive "Seniority" by the standard of the posts a member makes and their willingness to be part of a learning discussion. I think your participation qualifies you to be called a senior member of this community.

Are Bhai Akhilesh Dubey—jab mouka apne aap saamne aata hai to mana kaise? Bas youn samajh lijiye 'bhagwan' ki dua hai aur apne pure zimmedaari nibhaiye 

In a serious vein, it's not what we perceive in ourselves that counts; it's what others perceive in us that finally matters in human relations... guess that's the core principle of HR.

All the best.

07 August was the day when I first signed up on CHR. I was a student of HR at that time, and I am still a student (a student of life), but this forum helped me a lot in generating interest in various topics. I enjoyed the queries, love to help others, and overall, there is an attachment and bonding with CHR now. I'm loving it...

Same here, Mr. Akhilesh. I also completed 5 years with CiteHR last month (July 22, 2014 / 5 years, 0 months, 24 days till today).

Hello to All, "Wishing you a very Happy Independence Day (68th Anniversary)."

My 5-Year Journey with CiteHR

I would like to share a bit about my 5-year journey with the Cite Community. CiteHR has always been a TEACHER for me, and I have always tried to be a good student so that I can learn as much as possible. This has helped me in many ways in my professional life during my journey with CiteHR. It has been a journey filled with knowledge, sharing, guidance, and suggestions to be a good professional and to learn to be a good STUDENT always.

I have found CiteHR always helpful with vast knowledge, practical shared experiences, day-to-day issues, discussions, and suggestions by members and experts. Additionally, CiteHR has given me many good friends, professional contacts, and a great opportunity to learn from esteemed experts and professionals, which makes me feel truly blessed. CiteHR is like a family to me.

I wish to express sincere gratitude to Ms. (Cite Contribution) and Mr. Simhan first for their appreciation, guidance, knowledge sharing, and experience that I have gained by reading their responses/posts, as well as from other experts and senior members like Mr. Tajsateesh and Mr. Raj Kumar Hansdah.

Thank you all once again for providing me with a great opportunity to connect with you and to CHR for providing us with a great knowledgebase professional place.

Regards.

Congratulations, Mr. Akhilesh, I hope the journey will continue. I have also completed 6 years with this forum and found it to be a sea of knowledge for HR personnel. I joined this forum on 22nd Jan 2008 when one of my friends from Coca-Cola company informed me about it. At that time, I was working as an Executive HR & Admin. Now, I am working as an Assistant Manager - HRD. I can proudly say that the CiteHR forum is also a part of my success. It's my 7th year in this forum, and I will continue to be a part of it.

Congratulations, Akhilesh Dubey, Anil Arora, and Arun J.

Anil Arora, thank you for your compliments. It only goes to prove once again that when one begins to 'share'—be it happiness, knowledge, smiles, or just about anything—it always has the habit of coming back to us.

I recollect a point in time when you wanted to keep off from this forum. I guess you surely have no regrets for reaching this milestone.

The Power of Sharing

Like the Bible says: "As you sow, so you reap." All of us share a common aspect: we decided to share our knowledge and experiences with others so that others may learn from ours and receive back more experiences and knowledge without having to undergo the associated pains and efforts. This common trait of 'sharing' amongst CiteHR members is not dependent on reciprocity from the recipient of our sharing. If someone reciprocates our attitude of 'sharing,' well and fine. If he/she doesn't, it still is well and fine. It would be that individual's loss, not ours.

I hope this continues for aeons to come.

TS

I would like to inform you all that I have completed more than 5.5 years on this useful and source of knowledge forum. It's been a long journey for me to be a part of this and feel immensely grateful to all the seniors/mentors for running it successfully and imparting knowledge across all domains. Though recently, I am not very active because of my involvement in professional life due to transitioning of work and setting up the process, every day I feel that I am missing something in my life, and it's "CiteHR." So, you all will find me more active again like before and share my experiences/knowledge in the best possible ways.

Thanks to all once again. Happy learning and sharing! 
