There is no specific format for terminating the contract. Just issue a formal letter terminating the contract with effect from (w.e.f) [date]. If the current contract includes a provision for termination, please refer to that as well. Additionally, if the contract stipulates any notice period, make sure to adhere to that requirement.

Dear Kaushik S, It is preferable to issue a notice stating the reason for termination of a contract (if mentioned in the agreement) before issuing the termination letter. Please find below a sample termination letter.

However, despite subsequent follow-ups in this regard, you have failed to submit the requisite details. Therefore, under these circumstances, RTY has decided to terminate your contract with effect from 30/12/1243.
