Hi All, I need the services of a lawyer dealing with labor/civil matters in Delhi. My previous employer has refused to settle my dues as per the appointment letter. I have serious grievances against my previous employer for misrepresentation of the job profile, unprofessional treatment during my tenure, and not paying dues as per the appointment letter.
I think it is entirely unethical to play with someone's career. I quit my job based on their personal assurances, and now I am struggling to even get my dues. I have all the relevant proofs to substantiate my claim. I would appreciate it if you could please help me in this matter.
Best regards, Naresh

Well, Mr. Naresh, after going through your case, it looks like you either landed in a bad culture or could not adapt to the organization's culture. Ideally, you should have immediately looked for an exit.
Steps to Address Your Situation
Now, in my view, you need to:
1. Send a strong email with necessary proofs and put pressure to release the dues.
2. If you don't get a response, then approach a good lawyer dealing in civil cases to send a legal notice. The lawyer will advise you on how much compensation can be claimed. You can also press for damage to your reputation by claiming that the termination was unjustified, especially if you were involved in business activities.
3. If the above steps do not work, then approach civil court. Be cautious as civil cases may take a long time, and you will need to pay court fees and legal fees.
At this moment, I advise you to focus on finding a new job. Once you have that stability, you should consider filing a civil suit. You typically have a 3-year period to file a civil suit.
The legal experts in the forum will guide you on the proper procedures, costs, timeframes, etc. Based on their advice, you can make a decision.
Finally, let positive energy flow and try to get rid of negative energy.
Thanks and best wishes,
