Dear All,
We have 20 Days of vacation leave (earned leave). This can be taken any time. Some staff including my HR Head taken all the 20 VL before December Month. At the time of Christmas vacation (Scheduled Vacation as per our Calendar) they took LOP without including Sunday and she said that, If there any scheduled vacation Sunday will not be included. But in January month I have3 Days LOP which includes Sunday(Sat – Sun- Mon)
Please clarify me whether she said is true based on the Leave rule.

Hi
It depends on your company policy. Do check your company policy on leave which will gives you a clear picture. Different company's have various policy. Ask your HR to share the leave policy and check whether the clause mentioned is right or wrong, then you could decide whether LOP is different for scheduled and non scheduled leaves. If not you can always ask them to pay you the arrears.

Hi
Then what your HR has said is right. Exclusion of sunday is taken in to consideration on all VL . Here sunday are also included while on normal leaves. For reference in many company's, working days are considered in different ways that is some by actual days of working (28, 30 &31) and some by a common dividing factor 26. What happens in both the case is like 1. while calculating on the actual days of work: sunday are also included and during the continous leave, sundays are also included ( think this refers to your case). 2. while calculating by common divided factor, sundays are excluded in during long leaves sundays are excluded, here actual days of leave will be considered except sunday. Hope this will gives you a better idea about the leave policy.
