Hi, Recently, I joined a top IT MNC, Wipro Technologies. Soon after joining, I received another attractive offer from another MNC, IBM. The offer, designation, and brand name are better compared to the one I accepted. It has only been one and a half months since I started here, and I am still in the probation period. I am required to serve a one-month notice during the probation period. Should I resign and accept the offer from IBM? I believe it would be better for my long-term career prospects.

Moreover, I had an interview with IBM before joining Wipro, so I did not mention Wipro's name in any of my IBM application forms. I am feeling confused and in need of some advice. Please provide guidance on the following points:

1) Do I need to inform IBM about my current employment at Wipro?
2) Should I resign from Wipro, serve the one-month notice period, and join IBM without disclosing my current employment?

What would be the best course of action for me? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Please advise...

Analyze IBM's Waiting Period

First of all, analyze whether IBM will wait for one month. If the joining date for IBM is after one month, then it is better to inform them that you joined Wipro after applying for IBM. It is always advisable to speak the truth.

Check Termination Clause

Before resigning, please check the termination clause to avoid any hassles in the future.
