Navigating Notice Period and Employee Rights Amid Resignation Challenges - CiteHR

No Tags Found!

I joined an organization and quit it in less than 4 months. In my offer letter, the notice period mentioned was 2 months. There was/is no probation period mentioned. Since I wanted to be relieved prior to 2 months, I communicated the same to the company. At the end of the month, my salary was blocked, and I was told to pay them salary in lieu of the notice period not served.

The reason I quit the company was that the profile communicated to me at the interview was not in line with the work I was made to do.

My Questions Are:

• I was never given an appointment letter.

• Is it mandatory for a company to have a probation period?

• Can the company file a police complaint if I refuse to pay them?

The company did not give me a full and final settlement letter on the last day. I had to write them an email stating that I had completed all exit procedures and to send me an F&F.

The F&F they sent me was sent with all incorrect data. I had to point those out to them, and only after that, they re-sent it with corrections. This is how pathetic the company is.

Please help.
