HR Dashboard Insights

HR Dashboard is a report with insights, through numbers and data, on the jobs delivered vis-a-vis what was decided. Ideally, it includes headcount data from Recruitment and Attrition. This data provides insights for future hiring programs and current employee engagement initiatives.

Certain data, such as an overview from Leave/Attendance and employee productivity, are included from the operations, only to calculate the number of hours spent at work with respect to the efficiency delivered. The human capital is measured through this; it remains mostly free from business implications.

In case of payroll and data management errors at MIS, they are quantified for audit and to keep a check on the process. What are the internal processes that you have in your firm? How do you plan to quantify them? Did you read any of the documents available in this community? How different is your situation from what you read?

Ms. (Cite Contribution) has described, and I would like to add that a dashboard is a high-impact data summarization tool that helps make better-informed decisions. The data is represented graphically, allowing you to see what's happening at a glance.

It's similar to an MIS report and includes all major HR activities such as headcount, new recruitment, resignations, training, compensation data, statutory data, benefit data, and many more. This acts as an input for preparing future plans and programs for the organization. You may present it in a PPT. I would advise checking Google for more details.

HR Dashboard Overview

The HR dashboard is an MIS tool for top management. It provides a big-picture view of key metrics, such as:

• Manpower numbers - Male vs. female ratio
• Attrition: Internal transfers, if any
• Payroll costs versus revenue
• HR activities for the month or quarter

Hi Gits, In the dash board you can also add Training data as well as CSR activities. Some companies also add the compliance status to various Statutory requirements. V.Raghunathan

The Role of a Dashboard in Organizational Health

Theoretically, a dashboard should indicate the health of the organization just like a driver checks his dash while driving.

Now, with that input, you may create a generalist dashboard with basic graphs like:
- Attrition
- Spend over months
- Salary grade-wise or department-wise
- Experience Profile, etc.

Advanced Dashboard Features

A more appreciated dashboard would be that of Employees' Goal Achievement! Very relevant, equally difficult to be done manually. Also, the Appraisal Bell curve across multiple years will project a Balance Sheet of HR.

Let me know if you need further help. I could send you some sample dashboards if you so desire.

Well, the HR dashboard usually includes HR assignments, conducted interviews, new joinings, open positions, time frames for various functions, etc. A better way to present it is by preparing a detailed PPT.

Hi, if you don't have HRMS software, then make it simple in Excel, which may include:

- Total joiners
- Total exits
- Inductions done
- Transfers done
- Reimbursements issued
- Increments issued
- Salaries disbursed
- Vacancy positions
- Etc...

Thank you.
