Hello Friends, I am working in a CMM Level 5 company and have 7 years of experience now. However, when I joined, I had 3 years of experience and mentioned two companies. The first company has since closed, and I prefer not to include it in my current experience.
Job Switching Concerns
My concern is that I am now looking to switch jobs but do not want to mention my experience at the closed company. Would this pose any problems for me now or in the future?
Kindly provide valuable suggestions.

There is no problem or issue in this case (only if you have the relieving letter and experience letter with you). If you join another company, during the verification process, they will find out that the company has shut down.
All the best!

Handling Experience from a Closed Company
A firm closing down is quite normal in business. If you mention that while filling out your reference check form or share it while interacting with the Hiring Team, it would be addressed right there.
Are you not willing to share the experience for any other reason, such as the role or the job content which is not relevant to what you are applying for? If the reason is different from the firm closing down, you might need a different approach altogether!
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Like (Cite Contribution) mentioned, companies closing down is very normal, especially in the IT sector. Please note that 'company closing' is NOT sufficient for what you propose to do. How long did you work in the first company? Was that experience different, as (Cite Contribution) mentioned? Please elaborate so that the right suggestions can come from the members.
I am making a basic presumption here: that you didn't fake that part of your experience.

Actually honestly speaking that part of exp. is fake but in future while switch job I like to go with real exp. only. Kindly take it in positive way and give your valuable suggestion.

Glad you decided to put your foot down. Please remain truthful about your experience. You will always be hired for what you can deliver and not what you can manipulate around. Continue adding value to each firm you work for and build a time-tested credibility. All the best!
