I am desperately posting this query to all of you by briefly introducing myself. I am Wilson Sy, a graduate from Karnataka University Dharwad with an MSW in HR. I was selected in a campus recruitment for the position of Trainee Junior HR Officer, and since joining the company, I have completed a span of 2 years and 6 months. However, the sad part of my career path is that today, I am feeling disheartened and have the perception that I am not learning anything in this company. The job environment itself seems limiting and offers no scope for further growth and development, which can make an employee feel pessimistic.
Therefore, I am reaching out to any senior person who can understand my career development concerns and suggest what steps should be taken in these circumstances. I am looking forward to your favorable assistance.
Thank you.

Wilson Sy

Don't be frustrated. It was a great moment when you were selected in the Campus Interview.
Continuous Learning in HR
Regarding your point about not learning anything in your present company, as per my knowledge, learning is a continuous process, and in one company, you can't learn everything about the HR profession. Every company has its own limits in that aspect.
Identifying Areas for Improvement
Point out the areas where you feel you are lacking, such as Appraisals, L&D, etc. Once you identify these untouched areas, start reading materials on those topics to gain some level of knowledge, and try to implement them on a smaller scale.
This exercise will help you build your confidence and keep you updated. Automatically, your skills, perception level, motivation, and decision-making skills will improve.
Preparing for Future Challenges
Preparing in this way will expose you to various parts and knowledge. Over time, you will become a great HR professional and be ready for any challenge.
Happy reading!!!
