Hey seniors, my company has around 200 employees. I recently joined this unit and made ID cards for them. Can you please suggest if I need to put a rubber stamp of the company as well, as it already contains the company name, address, and issuing authority signature? Please help.

You have to put the rubber stamp in a way that it covers a small part of the photograph, preferably the right bottom corner. This will prevent anyone from replacing the photograph. Also, there should be a signature—either HR, Admin Head, or Security in charge—on the ID card. What Ms. Sharmila has suggested is good; if your company has budgeted for the expenses, it can be implemented.

I don't think that if you mention the logo of the companies, there is any need for a stamp. However, in that ID card, you need to mention their emergency contact details and their blood group, which is very necessary for any company. Also, mention the address of the company.

It is not necessary to stamp ID Cards.While preparing the card,the identity and all credentials are verified and the same is printed in the card.

A rubber stamp is not required on a laminated ID card. Only the logo of the company, the name of the employee, designation, department, blood group, and phone number should be mentioned. If the card is made of paper, you can use a stamp or not. However, in the case of a laminated card, you can use it for biometric purposes. It reduces time and helps in time office management.

The photograph of the holder must be stamped in such a way that half should be on the photograph and the rest should be on the ID Card. If the photograph is replaced, tampering with the ID Card will be easily detected.
