Hi to all,

It's been a long time since I last visited this site. Azmal and Vishal, hi to both of you. I guess you know that I have joined a subsidiary of Siemens. How are you all doing? I would like you all to tell me about how a training calendar is prepared in an organization. What's the procedure and what are the important things that should be taken care of while preparing a calendar? I would really appreciate a quick response.

Hi Deepali,

First, congratulations on your new assignment. I follow three steps before preparing this Training Calendar.

STEP 1: IDENTIFY THE TRAINING NEEDS

STEP 2: CREATE A TRAINING PLAN
A. WHAT TO TRAIN?
B. WHO HAS TO BE TRAINED?
C. WHO IS THE TRAINER?
D. WHERE SHOULD THE TRAINING BE?
E. WHEN IS THE TRAINING?

STEP 3: NOW, PREPARE THE TRAINING CALENDAR FOR THE YEAR, MONTH-WISE, AND TOPIC-WISE.

It's simple but effective for me.

Hi Dips Dude,

I agree, long time no see from your side. Good you are back. Myself is more into recruitments, but I will get in touch with the training department to answer your questions. How are you? How's life and work?

Take care.

Hi Gayathri, Antony, Vishal,

Thank you for the views, but I am still not satisfied with these. If you all could provide detailed information, that would help me gain a broader understanding. I am also looking forward to hearing from Pramod and Numerouno.

Hi, mam,

I could not open your training calendar. I hope you can send it to . I am a student undergoing training in a software firm. Fortunately, I am in the training department where procedures are planned for a year.

We have a portal where we initially receive requirements from different people. These requirements could be technical, related to soft skills, or processes. Once collected, we organize them into a monthly plan. After completing the backend tasks such as finalizing the venue and the training mode (classroom or e-learning), we develop a monthly action plan. This plan is then shared with all the group leaders, who are asked to nominate team members in need of training. This is our current process, and I hope it proves effective.

I would appreciate it if you could ask me specific questions so I can provide more information and learn from you. Once I have access to your planned schedule, I can offer further insights. Looking forward to your response.

With prayers and regards,

Sachu

Hi Deepali,

I hope I am not too late in helping you as you wanted a quick response. First, you'd carry out Training Needs Analysis throughout the organization at different levels. Then, you'd decide on the priorities of training needs. That would depend on the level in the organization you want to be trained or any immediate requirement of the training need. Your preferences would be matched with the availability of the trainers who will conduct the training.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Take care.

Hi,

This training calendar is not fulfilling my aim. I need to plan for the entire year, which includes technical, soft skills, and outdoor training as well. Could you please provide a more concise version of the same?

Cheers!
