Thanks for sharing the PowerPoint presentation on this forum. I conducted a public workshop on Effective Purchase Management (Basic and Advanced Level) in Bangalore. Some of the participants were from the Akshaypatra Foundation. During my training, I observed that they were managing their purchase department very professionally. Despite being an NGO, they have successfully implemented many materials management concepts.
The highest number of meals are cooked in the Hubli area, leading to a substantial requirement for spices. To cut costs in this area, they opted for backward integration and installed a pulverizer. They even calculated the "Payback Period" (PBP) for this installation. Kudos to their procurement team!
Thanks once again for bringing back these memories!

Dear Mr. Divekar, you are right. This requires vision. I had a similar experience with a visionary in the Government Department, "Maharashtra Fire Services." If the top person perceives with his vision, the dream comes true. This particular building is constructed in full compliance with the National Building Code. They have a training center and a facility for creating actual fire conditions, training individuals on how to work under such circumstances. All EHS personnel should visit them. Very effective. However, thanks for your feedback.
