Hi, I worked in Jalandhar through a service provider whose office was in Chandigarh. I don't know their address, and now the company I worked for is also closed. I am unable to locate the employer. I have the PF account number with me. Please suggest a way to claim my PF amount, which has been pending since 2006. I don't know the MC or any higher authority of the Chandigarh Area, but I can get the forms attested from the Jalandhar Authority, like an MLA, if it can help. Please guide.

Regards.

You can transfer your previous company PF account to your current company. Alternatively, you can withdraw your EPF amount by filling out Form 19 and 10C, attested by the manager of your bank. Please note that the bank manager must verify that he knows you. Therefore, be prepared to provide a little introduction.

If the above options do not meet your requirements, please provide me with details of your previous or current company.

Dear Suryadeep, you just need to fill out Form 10C and Form 19, attach a xerox copy of the first page of your bank passbook, your experience certificate (to validate your joining date and relieving date), some address proof, and get them attested by your branch bank manager. Then, hand over the documents to the nearest RPF Office. Don't forget to take the acknowledgment from them after a thorough check.

Also, remember to endorse your mobile number at the top of Form 10C and Form 19.

Since your case is quite old, make sure to attach an affidavit duly attested by a Notary.

Thank you.

I have a question on the same matter. Keeping all the conditions the same, and if the below-mentioned problem also appears, then what's the solution? If the bank account that was used during the job period in the company is closed, how can one claim further?

In my case, I have a PF account number, and the company has shifted to a different location that I am unaware of. The account was with City Bank, which is now deactivated. Do I need to provide my current bank account for further claims, or should it be the same bank account where the salary used to get credited?

Kindly reply.

Aldrin Raghu
