Legal Work Hours and Exceptions
It is not legally right to engage people for more than 10 1/2 hours, including intervals of rest. However, in case of emergencies, such as people engaged for urgent repairs without which the company may find it impossible to run the shift and may even lead to a layoff, or repairs without which a disaster can happen, engagement beyond the limit is permissible.

Taking work from any person without entering their name in the attendance register is itself unlawful. In general, we are to take an 8-hour work form from any worker/employee. For overtime (OT), rest intervals, spread over, etc., we are to go through the applicable Acts.
