Hi friends, I am working as an HR professional in a manufacturing company. We have a corporate office where administrative work is carried out, and the manufacturing unit is located at another site. I would like to know under which act we will be covered and what forms and registers need to be maintained under the A.P. Factories Act.

Factory will be covered in factory act-1948 and Corporate office will be covered in Shop and establishment act.

dear vinnus, you should maintain Factor Act registers to your manufacturing unit. for your corporate office you need maintain registers under Shop Act. Regards John Reno chennai

Your corporate office will be covered under the Shops & Establishment Act, while the manufacturing unit will be covered under the Factories Act. Accordingly, you have to follow the applicable labor Acts/Rules of your state.
