He has verbally informed me that he can't provide acceptance of my resignation from his end and that HR will handle the acceptance process, which might take 40 to 45 days. However, the new company has stated that my joining is subject to the submission of the acceptance of my resignation, which I am unable to provide as my existing company has not acknowledged my resignation with immediate effect.

Hi Prashant, you need to talk to your HR about this, and I am sure that there won't be any problem at all if you are ready to pay the penalty despite your notice period. But beware, this could create a rift in the relationship with your president.

If your line manager is not giving you the acknowledgment, you can use the following ways of communication:

- Email
- Fax
Apart from this, you can explain in writing to the new organization that you have resigned from your present services and are not receiving acceptance from them. After all, your loyalty can improve this situation for you.

I agree with Mangesh Wakokdar. I think that before proceeding, you should speak to your HR to find a middle path that results in a win-win situation for both parties. Otherwise, you are only left with the options mentioned by Mangesh Wakokdar. This will be in the interest of both in the long run.
