Dear Bhaskar,
Thank you for your immediate response.
To be very specific:
If we engage 500 or more employees any special activity to be done legally. for eg)
a. Canteen need to be provided if we engage 250 or more employees as per Factories Act.
b. Ambulance need to be provided if 500 or more employees employed.
I want to know is there any specific rules in any of Act other than Factories Act.
Kindly do the needful
Regards

You can check the BOCW Act for such specific sections.
Further for more than 500 workmen Ambulance Room must be provided and a Full time Medical Officer must be engaged. A Safety Officer must be appointed.
As per BOCW Act if the strength is more than 200 then Safety committee must be formed.
Like that there are so many acts available in our country. But implementation part is a big question mark.

Dear mr. sarann,
You also need to have a sexual harassment committee in place in case you are employing women employees and if the no. of married women crosses 30 then a creche is mandatory. The sexual harassment committee is to be headed by a woman and 50% members of the committee to be women.

Dear all,
Happy to see the interaction of all our professionals. I would like to suggest that the young professionals should not seek spoon feeding, but they should go through the relevant Acts etc., and seek clarifications. It appears our young fraternity require answers without putting any effort.
I humbly advise all professionals to go through and revert for clarifications else we will suffer from Half Knowledge Syndrome.
I am sorry if any one hurt for my above statement.
