Hi all,

I am sure you guys might be wondering what it's about - "Quick appraisals." Basically, I am working on a monthly review and evaluation of our IT staff, and am trying to find ways wherein I can have regular feedback on an employee's performance. I plan to have a small form, not as comprehensive as regular appraisals, something that gives a bird's eye view of a programmer's performance and progress over a period. An in-depth study would be done on points where the employee falls short or shows below-average performance. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions on this?

Thanks,
Kamal

Hi Kamal,

It's a good idea. Just focus on selecting two or three Functional KRAs that have an immediate impact on the bottom line. Include 2-3 points on personality-based functions such as communication skills, teamwork, and lateral thinking.

Cheers,
Rajat
