There is a ton of information about HR policies already posted here on CiteHR by other members. This question is asked several times every single week, over and over again. Please use the search box at the top of every page. Search first, ask second.

Dear Mr. Arora, Mr. John,
I agree that you both might be very busy with your schedules. However, this type of reaction cannot be accepted from an HR Professional.
Dear Mr. Verma,
The culture at your organization may be very different from other service industries because the employees are highly educated, making it challenging to convince them easily. Nonetheless, you can leverage their intelligence to enhance the system and productivity. I suggest observing for a few days without reacting, identifying any shortcomings, and then seeking assistance or cooperation from the team, as there are many talented individuals involved.
Thank you.

Dear Mr. Sahu,
It seems you haven't read the terms and conditions of this place while joining us. As you are talking about professionalism, I would like to tell you that it is also not ethical to ask something without showing your own efforts.
How can you agree to putting a message for something without verifying it yourself through your own research? I don't think someone can claim to have such little knowledge that they can't even use Google for their needs.
While one can seek help from Google for other things, they should be able to search for the required information themselves. Is this not right?
By asking people to search for information on their own, there is a motive behind it, and I guess you didn't understand that. We always encourage others to refer to previous threads where we have previously discussed the same topic, and where many members have shared their comments and participated. By doing this, individuals can enhance their knowledge of the subject.
It's not that we have a very busy schedule or are not in the mood to answer a particular thread. However, if we do respond, the first thing we would do is take away an opportunity for others to enhance their knowledge.
You must understand that this practice will lead to an increase in redundant data on the same topic on this platform and will create difficulties in quickly finding the relevant information.
For instance, if we keep answering the same questions for each individual, we are generating multiple copies. When someone seeks a specific answer to their question, they will have to navigate through all these multiple threads.
This is your first thread, Mr. Bapuji Kumar Sahu. I warmly welcome you to our CiteHR family and hope you will receive all the assistance and solutions to your queries, posts, questions, or any other help you require from this platform with the best cooperation.
I hope you understand my perspective.
Best of luck.

One of the major strengths of CiteHR is the fact that there is a wealth of material already posted here by other members on almost every HR topic one can imagine.
The reSearch Box is large, noticeable, and on EVERY SINGLE PAGE, but still no one sees it!!!!
Very few people can be bothered to search FIRST. Everyone wants an easy answer and let someone else do the work.
Many people use the excuse of TIME. Well, let me tell you something about TIME and how to make your so-called busy life more productive.
If you need some information, you come to CiteHR, you post a message, and you wait maybe an hour or so, maybe a day even to get your answer. What a waste of YOUR VALUABLE TIME that you think is so precious to you. What is the alternative? Well, it is easy, you come to CiteHR, you type a query into the reSearch Box, you scan the results and you get your answer in maybe 2 or 3 minutes. Now, you tell me which is the best use of your valuable TIME. So, please don't waste my or fellow CiteHR members' TIME with spurious arguments about how busy you are.
Use the resources that are here already and learn how to research and synthesize information to solve your problems. It is a skill that will be very valuable to you as you progress in your career, and as you become better at it, it becomes a strength you can highlight on CV's and in interviews.

Mr. Anil,
Your noble thoughts on self-learning are an inspiration for newcomers. However, I believe there is a way to convey your thoughts. Sorry to say, but your first reply was a bit RUDE.
Regarding searching for information, CiteHR is one of the tools to obtain information, and that is what Mr. Varma is doing by posting his query. How can you state that he has not done any research for what he is looking for? His intention might be to seek information from experts or seniors who have been in the profession for many years.
Hope you take this in the right way.

Hello Ojaswani,
Guess you forgot that there is nothing that can't be obtained through searching. If one tries, they will definitely find what they are looking for.
Secondly, I was not surprised to receive this kind of reply from someone. I know that people are not always ready to accept things as they are. I won't say that you never tried to understand what Avanti and I were attempting to convey to the members, but I would say that we failed to make you understand what we actually want from the students, beginners, and others here.
Avanti and I have clearly mentioned and provided examples to clarify the query, but... Well Ojaswani, I would say that if one sincerely accepts this "Self Learning" concept, they will never consider our comments harsh or incorrect.
You mentioned that CiteHR is a tool to obtain information, which is true! However, CiteHR is not just a platform for information; it is also for learning, sharing knowledge and experiences, and assisting people with their queries and providing answers.
Regarding "Self Learning," searching for or finding answers to our questions/queries through our own efforts falls under the concept of self-learning, dear.
Perhaps my comments made you feel upset, but again, I would say that one needs to learn how to utilize this platform or any other professional platform. Certainly, CiteHR is a great resource where one can always seek what they need and ask the CiteHR community by posting here. However, it does not mean that one should not make their own efforts and solely rely on others to fulfill their needs. Is that what you really want?
Do you truly believe it is the correct approach to post a query and seek answers without attempting to find them on your own, especially when resources like Google are available? I don't think there was anything wrong with what I said.
And what was Mr. Varma doing by posting? Did he inform you that he had searched and couldn't find the answers to his question, leading him to post his query here?
Let me ask you something – You mention any topic, and I will help you find what you need. If Google couldn't provide the answer, I'll assist you in using the search function.
I don't believe there is anyone who needs something and never resorts to Google search. By utilizing the search option, one can not only find what they are looking for but also explore related content and learn a lot.
I don't think students and others are willing to miss out on this valuable opportunity to learn and would rather post questions on platforms like CiteHR without making an effort to search on their own.
I would like to discuss this with students and beginners, especially to understand their perspective on this matter.
Hope you understand my point of view.

Thank you, Ojaswini, and yes, Mr. Anil, I have already searched for it first, and then I entered my post here to get some more new ideas from experts like you. I think it's common sense to use the search option first. Your suggestion should not sound like a comment here. Anyways, thanks again for your reply. Have a good day!
