You can keep the account up to your 58 years, with the assumption of joining another PF-providing organization at any point in time. However, note that more than 3 years of inoperative accounts will not accrue interest. It will then be a waste to keep the money idle. PF can be withdrawn under various circumstances after 5 years of contributory services in general; for some special cases, mandatory services are not required. It is an advance, not a loan.
