As an HR professional, it is essential to address your concerns regarding the issue of salary. It is understandable to question how employment can proceed without a salary component. Before proceeding further, it is important to correct any misunderstandings as an employer. When offering a temporary placement to an employee, it is crucial to provide a clear and detailed offer letter. In this documentation, it is necessary to explicitly state that the contract will be terminated if the specified requirements are not met.

Why don't you first think properly and frame your question for us to respond positively and properly? It seems you are not sure about what you want and how to frame the question. How can we help you?

Considerations for Employment Letters

There are letters meant for placing somebody on probation or giving project work which will not entail any payment. There are a lot of clauses involved in employing such a person. In what kind of role will he be employed, and whether such employment will be in a hazardous area or a place where he will be able to access confidential information of the company – what will happen to his employment after two weeks? So many questions arise. To the best of my knowledge, in the past two decades, we have not issued any such letter. A person is normally appointed on probation for a period of six months, and if his performance turns out to be below par, he will then be terminated with one month's notice. For two weeks, we don't have to issue any appointment letter at all. What can you observe in somebody in just two weeks' time... Do you think it is sufficient to observe somebody's performance in two weeks?

Please do your homework and also consult your managers in your organization, whether such a letter is required at all.

Best wishes

Request for Assistance with Invitation Letter

I am working in a hospital where a medical student has requested to join us for two weeks for observation. This experience will be beneficial for the student's future and is part of their medical training from the university. I need to issue an invitation letter for the university, but I am unsure of how to start or write it.

Could you please help me with this matter?

Thanking you.

Dear Special Girl, From the way you have given your post and secondly from your tendency to hide your name or location, it appears that you are quite an introverted person. Let me caution you that this very introversion may be counterproductive for your career growth. Therefore, firstly, you need to open yourself.

Anyway, the format of the letter could be as below:

+++++

Date: -

To,

Mr/Ms _______

_____________

_____________ (address)

Permission to Work as Management Trainee / Industrial Trainee

Dear Mr/Ms ______,

1. We take reference to your letter dated _____. Through this letter, you had asked for permission to work in our hospital as a management trainee/industrial trainee.

2. We hereby grant you this permission. Your training will start from ____ (date) and it will end on ____ (date).

3. Permission to do this management/industrial training in our hospital should not be construed as an employer-employee relationship. Therefore, you will not be paid any salary for this period. Neither will you be covered under labor laws applicable to our hospital.

4. However, you can avail of the following facilities of our hospital:

a)

b)

c)

5. Your training may be ceased immediately without any notice if you are found doing any anti-organizational activities or activities of moral turpitude.

6. Information gained about our hospital during the course of your training should be used for academic purposes only. You are not permitted to disclose your learning in print or electronic or social media without our permission.

Thanking you.

Fill in the blanks as required or strike out the unwanted details. Prepare the above letter on your company's letterhead and obtain the signature of the individual on the second copy.

By the way, it is customary to pay some industrial allowance to trainees. Making anyone work "free" is an unethical business practice. It will erode your company's image. You will never be able to attract talented trainees if you want anyone to work for free. Try to understand that those who are ready to work for free are in-confident persons. Therefore, you may talk to your management and tell them to give an allowance as per the market standards.

Ok...
