Hi everyone,

I just need to know how many SL an employee is entitled to (minimum), how many EL (minimum), and if there are any rules or legalities regarding the carrying forward of unused SLs. If so, what is the maximum number of days we can carry them forward, and when do they lapse? Please consider the AP laws, specifically the Shops and Establishment Act.

Dear Mr. Raju,

Different states have different Shops and Establishments Acts. Please indicate the state with reference to which you are asking the question. I may be able to help if it is Tamil Nadu.

Dear Mr. Raj Bagdwat,

Please indicate to which organization the leave policy uploaded by you relates. Is it a draft leave policy? Many of the contents of the leave policy uploaded by you are contrary to several labor laws with all-India applicability. Please clarify for the benefit of all.

Dear Mr. Raju,

I do not have a copy of the A.P. Shops and Establishments Act. I made a post a few days ago on the same subject, referencing the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act. You can refer to that post to have your doubts clarified because the provisions of the A.P. Shops and Establishments Act will be similar to the provisions of other State Shops and Establishments Acts.

With regards,
