I am working in a major telecom industry. I have an MBA Degree in HR and a Diploma in Computer with over 1 year of experience. However, the dilemma I am facing is that I am currently working on a contract basis which is scheduled to end by the end of this month.
I have heard that individuals who work on a contract basis may not be able to secure a permanent position with a good company. Is this true?
Next month, I will be going to Bangalore for a week to search for a job there. Could anyone provide me with the names, contact numbers, and email addresses of consultancies in Bangalore so that I can send my CV and schedule interviews there?
I would greatly appreciate any assistance as I am eager to secure a job as soon as possible.

I saw your mail. First of all, you are having a wrong opinion of not getting a job just because you were on a contract basis. Secondly, don't underestimate yourself (which you are already doing by having that mindset). Thirdly, your qualifications are excellent! What more do you want?

Also, another idea is when you are in Bangalore, try to take the Bangalore Yellow Pages and search in Consultants: Jobs/Recruitment. But take care that you don't pay them anything as there are a lot of consultants dime a dozen who can take you for a ride. Try to be in touch with them through mail or you can even hand over the hard copy of your resume. All the very best once again :)
