Hi,
I am Pragati, working with an MNC company. I have to oversee HR work for the Nasik branch, while my seniors work in the Pune branch and my main boss is in Bangalore. Currently, I am on probation, and my main boss from Bangalore is coming here to assess my capabilities in the HR department. I have one month to update all files and fulfill the requirements. Additionally, the GM of the Nasik branch has asked me to demonstrate my capabilities and share my ideas and suggestions. This branch is new, and I am following the forms provided by my Pune boss.
Please advise on what I should focus on during this probation period. Thank you.

Hi Pragati,
Firstly, could you please let me know how many people are in your department? As you mentioned you are at the Nasik Branch of your organization and overseeing the HR activities there, it means you are the head of the department, right?
The thing is, you don't need to worry about whether you are on a probationary period or not, but rather focus on showcasing your work there. Show how you are functioning and how effective your operations are. If you are the most senior person in your HR department, you must be aware of all HR-related activities and now just need to demonstrate that you are running your department smoothly.
Your boss would like to see how your system functions at every level. So, be prepared with your work. If you have more questions or queries, feel free to contact me.
Best of luck

I am thinking that whatever work I am doing here in the Nasik branch, I can showcase it through a PowerPoint presentation as he has no time to stay here. He is coming from Bangalore to the Pune branch as well as the Nasik branch.
My work profile is such that if I have to recruit, then I have to complete all the necessary applications for formality and send them to the Pune branch and others like PF, ESIC, work done by the Pune branch. Many things are involved, like if someone in the Nasik branch has a salary issue or any confirmation letter issue, then at that time, I contact my Pune boss. If they are not doing their work, then the people in the Nasik branch raise issues. I am doing my best, but there is no response coming from Pune for that particular issue. What should I do?
