Try to contact the HR managers of the local companies within your industrial area. You will get more accurate figures from there.

Using the Bell Curve Appraisal Method

In case your organization has a Bell Curve appraisal and increment method, you can use the current inflation rate as the standard increment. Employees with better performance can be given higher increments based on their performance and the total budget that the company has to offer in increment amounts.

Dear Girish, the minimum is 10% and the maximum is 12% in our unit. In some cases, you can increase your percentage, and you can give an increment on CTC or on basic. If you are giving an increment on CTC, you have to adjust all components like HRA, Conveyance, LTA, and Medical. Your company might have some guidelines regarding all the above components; you can refer to those guidelines, or else you have to establish such guidelines.

Dear Girish,

Our company has a policy of adjusting the increment percentage based on the grades assigned by the respective HOD to the employee. These grades range from A to E, where A represents superior performance, and E indicates inferior performance.

Employees with an A grade will receive a 15% raise (7.5% assumed inflation + 7.5% additional for best performance), while those with an E grade will receive a 7.5% raise (7.5% assumed inflation + 0% additional).

Greetings, the increment depends on the company budget. It is aligned with the market only to make it competitive. This will remain specific to the values of the company. Few firms may believe in disbursing a higher take-home, whereas others may focus on long-term benefits through deferred compensation plans such as superannuation, ESOP, and others.
