Hello all,

I have just started my career in HR. The organization I work for was initially small, but with new projects coming in, we need more manpower. We have decided to conduct campus recruitment to hire fresh talent for our organization. I am assisting a senior HR in this activity and I have some queries:

1. How do we start the process?
2. Who should we contact?
3. Where can we find these contacts?

Looking forward to a positive response.

Thank you.

Dear Alisha,

Preplan Campus Recruitment Pre-Plan:

1) List out various job openings at your company.
2) Prepare job descriptions & qualification details.
3) Approach universities as per your requirements, e.g., BSc Agri Students approach Agri universities.
4) Prepare a formal letter before visiting universities.
5) In the letter, mention details about your company and the effective pay structure.
6) Finally, meet placement cell coordinators at colleges by sending a formal letter.
7) Find out the qualifications availability and when they are free for campus recruitment.
8) For better relationship/cooperation, offer some company items to the college in charge, e.g., calendars, company diaries, company bags, t-shirts, watches, etc.

On-campus Recruitment Day:

1) Give an attractive presentation of company values, norms, ethics, history, and organizational chart.
2) Show a company video.
3) Arrange group discussions/questionnaires to sort out the best candidates.
4) Finally, call for a final round face-to-face interview. That's all.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Apart from campus recruitments, you can also look for potential candidates on various online job portals. You surely must be aware of the popularity of these job portals and their benefits. For your help, I am attaching a file for reference to campus recruitments. Please find attached.

Hi, I am working for a startup company in Hyderabad, and we have a very small number of employees. We are looking to expand our team and have decided to conduct a campus drive. However, the salary packages we can offer will be lower as we are a startup organization. Can anyone suggest how to approach colleges to conduct campus placements for a small startup company?
