Educating Management on HR Policies

I am working as an HR Manager in a large automobile dealership with 1,200 employees, but our HR department is not yet fully developed. I joined this organization 6 months ago. My current challenge is to educate the management about HR policies, especially the leave policy. Could you please provide me with a brief note on how to educate and implement these policies effectively in my firm?

Thank you,

As you are in Rajasthan under the Shops & Establishments Act, please familiarize yourself with the act and determine the minimum leave and other related factors. This law is governed by the state government, so it would be advisable to provide written documentation to your management.

Dear Swetha, I would suggest an HR campaign in the organization, which should capture the attention of each and every employee. You can organize a day's tour or a one-day outbound training for the employees. During the tour, you can set up team-building games and other activities that will foster unity and team cohesiveness among them.

A session on HR activities and leave policies can be organized, where you can address them and distribute brief pamphlets. It would be beneficial for senior management to also participate, which will work in your favor.

Hope this is clear to you.

Regards,
Sriram
