The last date to declare the holiday list to the labor office is 30th November 2010, as per The National & Festival Holiday Act, 1963, in Form A. Please find attached a copy of the List of Holidays for 2011 for your information.

If your establishment is covered under the Shops & Establishment Act, then go through your applicable State Shops Act and see whether the Act requires the submission of a list of holidays to the labor office. Take action accordingly.

Please go through your state Shops Act & applicable Rules to see whether we are required to send any list of holidays to the Inspector or any other officer of the area.

We are not supposed to send any list of holidays to the Inspector of the area. We are to grant national and festival holidays to the employees as provided by the Act.
