I believe you should ask minimal 5-6 k hike reasoning that you have been paid relatively low at the time of joining and now your efforts have been tested. Then only you may get 4 to 5 k.

Dear Mamatha,
Have you completed your probationary period, if yes then only ask for the hike. As almost in every organisation an evaluation takes place after completion of probationary period. Wait till the right time comes, that's my suggestion.
You could have negotiated before joining for your low package but now suddenly if you ask for it then management may take it as negative approach.
Apart from your hike, you may ask for mobile & conveyance reimbursement obviously considering your JD.
All the best..

Hi,
Wait untill you finish your probationary period & then once you get permanent ask for a hike & ask them to pay according to the market. You can also ask for extra benefits along with the basic salary. Don't agree for a hike less than 4k.

hello friends,
it will be better to look for a job change, side by side asking for a hike, mamta's case is worthy enough for a hikeof rs 4k according as her probation completion and negotiations she had at the tim of joining , but dear manogawali ur profile is adorned with degrees of context and i do not suppose u to work for such a minimal remuneration, don't be bothered about the experience as u r working much below the industry pay level, keeping an eye over the better paying employer u should plea for a hike of rs 6k .......
all the best

Dear Pal,
In the initial stage of career in HR, you should not think about th package wat u get until you are satisfied in your JD. Satisfied in your Job discription means, you have to get oppurtunities to explore new trends in HR, work on HR Initittives and add up more achievements in you dosier, thereby you can negotiate with the employers by showing your achievements.
Hence, dont be demotivated by the salary wat you fetch, it is only up to the scope, wat you posses.
