Hi Friends,

I want to prepare a payslip for 30,000/- per month. If we take the basic around 11,000, how much HRA, PF, conveyance, special allowances, medical allowance, and professional tax should be included? Can anyone please help me out?

Thank you & Regards,
Sudha

Salary Structure Decision

First of all, you need to decide whether you will work on the CTC Concept or Gross concept. Based on that decision, you should have a policy stating that 30% of CTC/Gross shall be allocated to the Basic salary. Additionally, 40% of the Basic salary should be allocated to HRA, with a fixed amount of Rs. 800/- as per income tax rules. Medical allowances can be set at Rs. 1250 per month. The remaining allowance can be termed as a special allowance or other allowance.

PF should be calculated at 12% of the basic salary drawn as per statute, and the professional tax should be in accordance with the state government gazette.

Dear chavakrishnasudha,

Why do you want to prepare a 'single' payslip with "basic around 11000" and "for 30000/- per month"? Unless you disclose the purpose and background of the matter, it would be difficult to get appropriate suggestions.

Regards.

Hi, sorry Nishant. Actually, I am new to this site and I am not understanding how to use it. I just want to know how to prepare a payslip. Raj sent a reply, but I didn't get a proper answer, so I want to understand it clearly. That's why I asked him to add me so that I can ask my doubts. Thank you. Krishna
