Dear All,
I worked in a company called XXXXXX, and I am in the probationary period. My company has asked me to leave. They have mentioned that they will settle the money, but I have not yet received the settlement or the relieving order. According to my Offer letter, it clearly states that if the company asks me to leave, they will provide one month's salary. Could you please advise if there are any legal proceedings to retrieve the money?
Regards,
Hari

Dear Hari,
Please go and meet your boss with the xerox copy of your offer letter and ask them, as per company norms, to pay you one month's salary in a polite manner. I believe your problem can be solved.

Can anyone guide me on what I should do? I was working in a private institute and I left the job with notice. The manager told me to do the full and final settlement on the date of leaving, but he did not. I go daily for my salary, but he is not giving it. Can I go to the labor court in this case?

Dear Member,
You can approach the office of your area Labour Inspector who will let you know whether his office is in a position to entertain your complaint or not.

Hi all,
I wanted to ask if an employee resigns from his/her post and serves notice but the employer relieves the employee before the end of the notice period, committing to payment within 2-3 days. After that, he refuses to pay the dues, citing that the employee did not serve the notice period. In this case, can the employee file a complaint in the labor court?

Hi, I am Sanjeev, working in JSW Steel Ltd as an HR Officer. I have one question related to labor laws. One of the contractors has a manpower of 25. Their head office is in Chennai, but their work is in Toranagallu village, which is in Bellary district, Karnataka.
My question is, our company is under the Workmen's Compensation Act. So, as per the act, we are following all the rules and regulations under the WC Act. But for that contractor, which act will be applicable – a) WC Act or b) ESI Act? Their head office is in Chennai, and all their legal compliance is done in Chennai (PF, LICENSE).
We need to audit legal compliance, so please clarify my question with your full knowledge.
With Warm Regards,
