Hi Megha,

Exit formalities are something where the associate concerned needs to obtain clearances from different departments applicable to them. Exit formalities will depend more upon the business of the company. However, it is mandatory to have an exit interview considering various parameters.

Before I proceed further, I would like to know the type of industry you are working in.

Hi,

The exit formality would be in two parts:

- Clearance form: To obtain a clear check from the respective department as clearance for settlement.

- Exit interview form: A set of questionnaires to gather information from the departing employee about his/her experience with the company and the specific reason for leaving.

Hi,

It can comprise three parts:

1) Checklist of company-owned assets or information.
2) No dues from the relevant department and clearance from the accounts department.
3) Prepare questionnaire on reasons for leaving, such as:
- When was the first time you thought of leaving the company?
- What factors do you believe are most important for the company to retain you?
- What is the best and the least thing you liked about the company?
- Etc.

Dear all,

Exit interviews and exit formalities can be covered as follows: obtaining no dues from different departments such as IT, Finance, and HR; submitting identity cards and laptops, if applicable; and obtaining approval from the line manager before initiating these processes. Once approval is granted by the line manager, the departing employee should undergo an exit interview with HR.

The purpose of the exit interview is to assess employee satisfaction in their role. The following areas can be addressed during the exit interview process:

1. Job satisfaction and whether the role is perceived as challenging.
2. Managerial support in carrying out tasks efficiently.
3. Awareness of job responsibilities.
4. Satisfaction with the salary provided.

These aspects can be covered based on my knowledge.
