Dear Mr. Khola,

Many thanks for your reply. What I intended to know is if the company is liable, then what would be the punishment the company would have to bear for non-compliance of the same.

Dear Sonia,

The Government of NCT Delhi has again made it compulsory to register shops and establishments under the Delhi Shops Act. Previously, the provision of registration was kept in abeyance. Therefore, please apply for registration.

Dear Sonia,

We should go through the Central & State Govt. gazette notifications regularly to stay updated on various labor laws. One can use the respective labor department site, although it has been observed that the responsible person does not update the government departmental sites regularly. Some of our members also make efforts to update our knowledge in this regard. So, please go through the CiteHR postings daily.

Dear all,
Thank you for your kind information. Can you please provide resources to stay updated on such issues? This came as a real surprise to me. You mentioned that the abeyance has been overruled since Nov 2009, which means it has been almost a year now!
Thanking you.

Sonia

What are CL, SL, and PL applicable as per the Delhi Shops and Establishment Act? A soft copy would also be appreciated.
