There are no monthly reports under the Factories Act, only half-yearly and annual returns. Certainly, reports of accidents shall be submitted, but that should be done immediately after the accident has taken place. The required forms and registers under the Factories Act are mentioned in my PPT on Labour Legislations.

Dear Madhu Sir,
Good morning!
I have a doubt which we have already discussed in this forum if I am not wrong.
Sir, if a woman adopts a child, is she eligible for ESI benefits or not?
Please, sir, tell me once again.

Adoption benefits are not seen under ESI, and leave for 135 days for adoption is given to government employees as per a recent notification. However, an adopted child can be included in the family, and all benefits/facilities available under the ESI will be offered to the child as well.

Dear HRs,
Please clear my doubt. There are 6 licenses in one premises, all under one ownership, and all productions are related to garments only. I was informed to consolidate all the licenses into one. I was told that Section 4 of the IF Act will address this. Does anyone have a format for this, and what are the formalities?
Thank you.

Dear Sir,
I am Narahari, presently working in the Hospitality industry. I do not have experience in the Manufacturing industry, but recently I have been offered a job at a Manufacturing company. Can anyone help me understand what files, registers, liaisons, and other aspects are important in factories? Your assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Hi CM,
Can anyone clear the following doubt?
I am working in a garment factory in which we have more than 12 units with 250 workers each situated in Tirupur. The issue is, in Tiruppur, workers practice joining a factory for one week and then moving to another factory. Now, I have an issue regarding PF, ESI, and personal files. Is there any limitation period as per the law? Or can I make a policy in the factory stating that our factory will create a personal file after seeking the workers' interest? Alternatively, can I get a letter from workers accepting PF ESI deduction after 15 days from the date of joining?
This problem is not only in Tirupur but all over Tamil Nadu. Please guide me.

We cannot do so. We have to comply with all statutory requirements even if an employee is hired for remuneration for a day.

Dear all,
There are forms for all the acts, and the form numbers would be the same, so don't get confused by it. The following are a few of the forms to be maintained and submitted as part of HR activity:
1. Form 1 (Application for permission to construct, extend, or take into use any building as a factory)
2. Form 2 (Application for Registration and Notice of Occupation)
3. Form 3 (Application for license/renewal of the license of the factory)
4. Form 4 (Registration for a license to work a factory)
5. Form 7 (Record of lime-washing, painting, etc.)
6. Form 9 (Register of Compensatory holidays)
7. Form 10 (Overtime Register)
8. Form 12 (Adult Register)
9. Form 22 (Half-Yearly Return)
10. Form 23 (Annual Return)
11. Form 26 (Accident Register).
I have provided a few forms on the list, and there are more forms to be added to it.
