I wanted to know how performance appraisals can be carried out within the small-scale construction industry. If anyone can guide me, please send the proforma with guidelines so that I can clearly understand the total process and implement it in my current company.

Hello,

Attached is a format of the appraisal sheet that our company follows. You can also use it by making a few changes. Give the sheet to the concerned persons, instruct them to rate the employees, and then collect the sheet. Set a percentage on the rating; for example, employees rated up to 2 will not receive an appraisal. Those rated 3 will get a 20% hike, and those rated 4 will receive a 25% increase, and so on. You can also review this process. Inform the persons evaluating the employees that they should consider areas for improvement while assessing. If employees are rated highly, they may not feel the need to improve themselves. Give it a try; it might help you.
