Definitely atleast the basic knowledge of that industry will be very beneficial & if you are not aware of an answer to a question asked to you,all you need to do is honest about your ignorance & promise that the next time you meet them you will have the answer ready.
honest answers do still go a long way especially regarding oneself.

The best preperation would be that you do not prepare anything :D :D
Just do not take tensions and stress. Be on time. Read your resume throughly. Keep urself updated with the latest happenings. Be confident.

hai friend,
here i give some tips for attending interview,
be punctual, that is u should reach the interview place in time

directly approach the company people regarding the time and venue dnt wait as others wait because u r time is so precious
when enter the interview hall wish the interviewer ,get their permission then sit on chair
collect some information from website or through other media before attending interview
u present ur answers with interest even the interviewer not listen properly
reply to the questions alone dnt speak unwanted to the point u answer
be brief in answering
if dnt know say openly dnt make the interviewer on stress
after finishing the interview say thanks and ask ur queries after come out from the interview hall for u not able to get back answers for ur queries
make followups as per their instruction
interview tough or easy depends on how u take that
