Hi Rachna,
Thank you for the reply. But these are technical questions, right? How can a recruiter know these in detail? Many times even B.Com grads are working as IT recruiters. How would they know these?

For IT recruiters, they generally hire BCA graduates or candidates who have knowledge of these languages. Otherwise, they can also provide training to freshers if the candidate doesn't have a technical background. If you are going for an interview, search online, or you can email me your queries at rachna_arora16@yahoo.com.

Hi Jyothi,
Once you start working as an IT recruiter, you will come across various technologies. Just don't match the skillset and the JD provided to you. Do some homework. Browse the net and try to get information on various technologies. Start from the basics. You will benefit.

Hi Jyoti,
A few things you can ask are:
a. What is the process followed by the recruiter for chasing the requirements?
b. What are the sources of getting the resumes and what does he do after getting the resumes?
c. How can he distinguish between genuine and non-genuine resumes (fake resumes, manipulated experience, educational qualifications, etc.)?
d. How can he ensure that the candidate joins on the given date? How does he build rapport with the candidate?
These are a few very basic questions asked to a recruiter, especially in the IT sector.
Happy Recruiting.

First and most important one is:
How do you analyze a resume, how do you evaluate if a resume is genuine?
Challenges in IT Recruitment (Major/Minor) and Solutions.
Different IT technologies you have worked with.
How many placements would you make in a month?
How do you judge if a resume is the right fit for the requirement?
How do you screen a job-seeker and what questions do you ask?
What is End-to-End Recruitment?
How do you conduct background checks?
How do you obtain NDA/NCA (Non-disclosure agreement if you are in US IT Recruitment)?
How do you close a position?
What are the different steps you follow when you receive a requirement?
How do you select the right resume?

A few days back, I attended an interview where I was asked many questions, some of which were quite challenging for me to answer. I would appreciate your comments on these questions:
1. How do you motivate a person to relocate from their native place to a distant location for a job?
2. How would you go about filling three positions in one day for different clients?
3. What is the difference between a core developer and a core tester?
4. How will you close a position for an experienced contractor?
I look forward to hearing your insights on these questions. Thank you.
