one you start working as an IT recruiter, you will come across various technologies. Just don't match the skillset and the JD provided to you. Do some homework. Brows the net and try to get information on various technologies. Start from the basics. You will benefited.

A few things which you can ask is:
a. what is the process followed by the recruiter for chasing the requirements.
b. what are the sources of getting the resumes and what does he does after getting the resumes.
c. how can he make out which resumes are genuine and non-genuine (fake resumes, manipulated experience, education qualification, etc...)
d. how can he make sure that the candidate joins at the given date. how does he builds the rapport with the candidate.
These are a few but very basic questions asked to a recruiter especially in IT sector.
Happy Recruiting.
