HR policies and procedures are specific to each organisation. There is no standard book available. The policies for a manufacturing organisation will be different, an IT company it will be different. Am an HR Consultant and have provided Employee or HR handbook for several organisations. I need to talk to the HR team and also management and then create such a book. If interested, please revert. Best wishes

Employee Handbook:

Communicate the handbook to all employees and ensure they understand its contents.
Regularly update the handbook to reflect any changes in policies or regulations.
Employee Relations:

Foster a positive work environment based on mutual respect and trust.
Implement an open-door policy where employees feel comfortable expressing concerns or grievances.
Establish effective communication channels for feedback and suggestions.
Address conflicts and issues promptly and fairly.
Performance Management:

Set clear performance expectations and goals for each employee.
Conduct regular performance reviews to provide feedback and identify areas for improvement.
Recognize and reward employees for their achievements and contributions.

Training and Development:

Offer training programs to enhance employees' skills and knowledge.
Provide opportunities for cross-training and job rotation to broaden employees' experience.
Support continuous learning through workshops, seminars, and online courses.
Encourage employees to pursue further education and certifications related to their roles.
Compensation and Benefits:

Develop a competitive compensation structure based on industry standards and company budget.
Offer benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Conduct regular salary reviews to ensure fair and equitable compensation.
Provide opportunities for bonuses or profit-sharing based on performance.
Workplace Health and Safety:

Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
Provide training on proper safety practices and emergency procedures.
Encourage employees to report any safety concerns or hazards.
Work-Life Balance:

Promote a healthy work-life balance by offering flexible work arrangements, such as telecommuting or flexible hours.
Encourage employees to take breaks and vacations to prevent burnout.
Provide support for employees dealing with personal or family issues.
HR Compliance:

Stay up-to-date with labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Ensure compliance with employment laws regarding wages, hours, and working conditions.
Maintain accurate records of employee information, including employment contracts, timesheets, and performance evaluations.
Seek legal guidance when necessary to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Employee Engagement and Retention:

Implement initiatives to foster employee engagement, such as team-building activities, social events, and employee recognition programs.
Conduct regular surveys to gauge employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
Offer opportunities for career growth and advancement within the organization.
Recognize and reward long-term employees for their loyalty and dedication.
By implementing these HR policies and practices, small organizations can create a supportive and productive work environment that attracts top talent, fosters employee satisfaction, and contributes to the overall success of the business.
