Hi Team,
I need some help as to how to negotiate with HR as my Degree Certifacate got busted as fake post background verification in current company but not if previous company (DELL)
I have completed 5 months of probation already in the current company
1. All my certificates like 10th , 12th , joining & releiving letters got verified succefully as they were genuie when background verification was done except my Degree as it was Distance education
2. My previous company for Dell with 8 years of experience with the same Degree certificate where background verification did happen when i joined Dell in 2013 and I did not go through any inconvenience at that point
3. When I checked online about the university its still active but they have removed few courses, where BCA was my course
4. The role which i was hired for in current company did not specifiy anything with respect to qualification in Job description as it only talked about experience & skills
5. Is there a way where I can talk to HR & withdraw my Degree & continue my service on 12th marks card basis.
6. Please suggest me options on how to negotiate with HR & also what could be the consequences here
I am afriad & I do not want to lose this job where am absolutely performing well & got few appreciations as well

Dear Rjrls,
Is your degree certificate genuine or fake? You have not written clearly. If it is the former, then you may submit an application to HR clarifying your position. In the same letter, put forth your request to accept your candidature based on the Class XII certificate.

After background verification in current company the certificate got declared as fake as the University itself has sent an email to HR in writting on a letter head that so & so registration# is invalid etc.
If it is the former, then you may submit an application to HR clarifying your position. In the same letter, put forth your request to accept your candidature based on the Class XII certificate -

Dear Rjrls,
If the university has vouched for the fakeness of the degree certificate, then it has made your position far weaker. I don't think there is anything for your defence. There is no point in putting forth any application as no company will hire a candidate in spite of the discovery of the forgery by a candidate.
Therefore, better to let go of this job opportunity. While applying for future jobs, apply on the strength of a Class XII certificate.
