Background Check MBB - criminal case under Dowry Act pending in court

Hi, I recently got and accepted an offer from a MBB Consulting firm in India. I have a criminal case under Dowry Act pending in court. It is a false case filed by my wife after I filed for divorce. Will it hamper my chances during Background Check or should I just forget abt joining MBB?

Though it is not likely to impact on your joining the new firm, yet if they ask you should disclose full facts. Background verification is done by many private organisations. So one should be careful not to suppress such information.
